ON VLSI ARCHITECTURES FOR DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING.

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

The author discusses the design of VLSI image processing arrays, covering algorithm analysis, architecture, and technology. Several popular array architectures are presented which exploit the massive computing capability offered by VLSI. Applications of VLSI are also discussed. The author argues that the growing innovative researches on VLSI array processors will play a central role in defining the algorithmic, architectural, and applicational trend of the future supercomputer technology.
