Abstract
The recently measured rates for the rotationally inelastic process (A 1Σu) Na2(j) + Xe → (A 1Σu) Na2(j) + Xe are analyzed and correlated with a scaling theory that explicitly accounts for the adiabaticity of the collision. A brief discussion of previous scaling theories (which neglect this effect) is presented.
