Abstract
The analysis of on-site and off-site vortex lattice solitons in nonlinear waveguide arrays is discussed. The vortex-ring solitons are generic to nonlinear lattices in two dimensions and are the building blocks for more extended and complex wave structures. The vortex beam diffracts across the crystal at low density. It was concluded that the nonlinear optics would be used in nonlinear fiber bundles, photonic crystal fibers and Bose-Einstein condensates.
