Abstract
A study of linearly dispersing collective mode in a quantum Hall ferromagnet was performed using the method of tunneling spectroscopy. Both quantum ferromagnetism and excitonic superfluidity was displayed by double-layer two-dimensional electron systems. The measured velocity of the collective mode was found to be in agreement with theoretical estimates for the Goldstone mode of the broken symmetry ground state.
