Observation of 2nd band vortex-ring soliton in 2D photonic lattices

Abstract

We present the first observation of second-band vortex-ring solitons in 2D photonic lattices, along with a theoretical study of their stability. This constitutes the first observation of a 2D higher-band lattice soliton.
