Nonlinear light generation in Quantum Cascade lasers

Abstract

Efficient intracavity nonlinear interaction of laser modes in quantum cascade lasers with integrated resonant nonlinear optical intersubband transitions is discussed. Second-harmonic generation at 4.5 μm with a peak power of 240 μW has been demonstrated.
