Abstract

Seismic response analysis of soil and/or soil structure interacting systems is a complex problem which in general, requires a complete effective stress formulation. The computer program DYNAFLOW has been developed to allow nonlinear response analyses of soil and soil-structure interacting systems taking into account: 1) the nonlinear, anisotropic and hysteretic stress-strain behaviour of the soil skeleton; and 2) the effects of the transient flow of the pore water through the soil strata. The procedures used (field and constitutive equations) are general and applicable to multidimensional situations. -from Author
