Abstract
An algorithm is presented that allows nonequilibrium systems of hard disks to be generated with controlled degrees of bond-orientational order. The algorithm starts with a seed of a few disks and adds new disks in a sequential process. Overall, the algorithm allows the exploration of a significant range of orientational order.
