Abstract

An additive version of Tversky's (1977, Psychological Review84, No. 4, 327-352) contrast model of similarity is discussed, and an axiomatization proposed for it. A representation theorem for the new system is derived on the basis of results drawn from Krantz et al. (1971, Foundations of Measurement, Vol. 1, New York: Academic Press).
