Abstract
Neuroscience research methods are a powerful way to investigate development in infancy and early childhood. These methods reveal key information about the structural and functional development of the human brain that can inform and deepen our understanding of behavioral development. This article introduces the reader to the neuroscientific methods currently being used to investigate early developmental populations. For each method, the reader will learn about its the biological and/or technical basis, its strengths and limitations, and a recent important finding.
