Abstract

The shear-induced alignment of cylindrical micelles in thin films was investigated using Monte Carlo simulation method. It was stated that in the absence of shear, cyclindrical micelles confined within the monolayer coarsened gradually with time. On imposing shear force the micelles within monolayer aligned parallel to the direction of shear. The simulation results are found to be converging with the theoretical results.
