Abstract
The structural properties of end-linked polymer networks were prepared from 50-mer precursor chains in the presence of varying amounts of 50-mer inert linear chain solvent under stoichiometric and optimal conditions. It was found that a degree of dilution of 10% results in networks that have a higher extent of reaction at the end of the cure. The fraction of single-chain loops attached to the network increased with increasing degree of dilution. The fraction of soluble material was roughly independent of the degree of dilution, while the fraction of pendent material showed a slight minimum at 10% dilution.
