Abstract

Let e(R1,...,Rk) be the electronic contribution to the ground-state energy of a molecule consisting of one electron and k nuclei located at R1,...,Rk. It is shown that e(R 1′,...,Rk′)≥e(R1,...,R k) if mod Ri′-Ri′ mod ≥ mod Ri-Ri mod for all pairs i, j.
