Abstract

The minimum probability-of-error detector of many-user CDMA was studied. The Bayes retrochannel, which generates a stochastic estimate of the transmitted symbols, was discussed. It was found that all users, irrespective of their individual received energies, had the same multiuser efficiency, which was directly related to the mean-square error of the conditional mean estimator.
