Abstract

We derive the optimal power allocation and minimum outage probability for fading multiple-access channels under the assumption that both the transmitters and the receiver have perfect channel side information. This minimum outage probability implicitly defines the outage capacity region. Two different assumptions about whether the outage declaration from each user is simultaneous or independent are considered.
