Abstract

The issues presented in the Mini-Conference on Laboratory Plasma Astrophysics, which was held on October 27-31, 2003 as part of the American Physical Society's Division of Plasma Physics Annual Meeting, were discussed. Liquid metal and basic plasma exteriments to test MRI in a short Couette flow were the topics that gathered much attention. The topics related to magnetic dissipation processes including reconnection were also discussed. MHD phenomena and wave dynamics that included magnetic self-organized plasma exteriments were also the topics to which importance was given in the Mini-Conference.
