Abstract

A model is presented for the filtration of a colloidal suspension on the surface of a semiinfinite porous medium. The kinetics of the consolidation process are described by an equation which also includes the contribution of the mold resistance. Conditions that lead to rapid filtration and thus particle consolidation rates are outlined.
