Abstract
The phenomena of magnetohydrodynamic stability of centrifugally confined plasmas was investigated. The analytic calculations and numerical simulations of velocity shear stabilization of flute interchanges were also reviewed. The numerical simulations of the nonlinear behavior of the Parker instability were presented. It was shown that the clumping from the Parker instability could reinforce centrifugal confinement.
