Abstract
A unified analysis of longitudinal and transverse waves in a Yukawa crystal was performed using a method based on the harmonic approximation. Dispersion relations were derived for the different waves from a master dispersion relation. Predictions of the theory were compared with available experimental data on two-dimensional monolayers produced in the laboratory.
