Abstract

Let e(R1,..., Rk) be the electronic contribution to the ground-state energy of a molecule consisting of one electron and k nuclei located at R1,..., Rk. It is shown that e(R 1′,..., Rk′) e(R1,..., R k) if |Ri′ - Rj′ | | Ri - Rj| for all pairs i, j.
