Iterative multiuser detection

Abstract

A review is given of turbo MUD, and of the more general context of MUD within which turbo MUD arises. It is emphasized that turbo MUD can be viewed as a form of iterative MUD in which channel decoders provide intermediate soft decisions that can be exploited by a multiuser detector. Furthermore, it is shown that this method can provide quite good performance with relatively low complexity.
