ITER EDA in-plane structural design, finite friction effects, central solenoid tension and compressive preload

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The ITER EDA is a bucked design. The basic stress states of the coils are presented. Interface issues are discussed including vertical lock-up vs. slip at the CS-TF boundary; TF in-plane shear; local loading in the TF conductor; and vertical registration of the TF and CS coils.
