Abstract

Flight trajectories of ID (rod-like) debris were analyzed in non-dimensional form. The aerodynamics of this type of debris was investigated, and compared to the aerodynamics of 2D (plate-like) debris. A method to approximate horizontal displacement and horizontal speed of flying rods in uniform flow is presented.
