Abstract

In most wireless communication networks, nodes are fitted with radios that can both transmit and receive. This sets up the possibility of cooperation among the nodes. To study the role of cooperation in interference management, we consider a two-user linear deterministic interference channel where the source/destination nodes can both talk and listen. We focus on the symmetric channel with nodes operating in fullduplex. We characterize the sum capacity exactly. This reveals a reciprocity between the cases where the sources cooperate and the destinations cooperate.
