Abstract

(Graph Presented) Enhanced power conversion efficiency is observed for inverted organic solar cells when a sol-gel deposited MgZnO is used in place of ZnO. The enhanced fill factor and open-circuit voltage suggest reduced recombination at the interface with bulk heterojunctions of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) blended with either [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) or indene C60 bis-adduct (ICBA).
