Improved experimental test of time-reversal symmetry in Ne19 β decay

Abstract

We report on a new measurement of the time-reversal-violating triple angular correlation between the nuclear spin and the positron and neutrino directions DJ^•(v→β×q^ν). Our result for the decay process Ne19→Fe-19+e++ν is D=-0.0005±0.0010, consistent with time-reversal symmetry.
