Abstract

We perform Faraday rotation spectroscopy at 7.2 μm to quantify HO2 formation from the reaction between excited singlet O(1D) atoms and C2H2. A digitally balanced detection scheme is employed to suppress spectral interferences from diamagnetic C2H2.
