Abstract

Fluctuations are experimentally studied using Langmuir probes and magnetic probes in the a/2ra region of the REPUTE-1 reversed-field-pinch plasma. An electron-heat flux qEe due to electrostatic fluctuations is too small to account for the total electron-heat flux qtotale. It is implied that magnetic fluctuations mainly determine the electron energy confinement in the interior region.
