Flow-rate instability as a basic characteristic of test equipment

Abstract

It is demonstrated that there is a need to standardize the numerical characteristics of the flow instability in hydraulic test equipments. There is a discussion of using the standard deviation and the mean-square two-sample deviation for these purposes. Calculations are presented from experimental data.
