Abstract

The National Spherical Torus Experiment (NSTX) Fast Tangential Soft X-Ray Camera (FTSXC) collects soft x-ray images (0.5-5 keV) at frame rates up to 500 KHz for the study of MHD events such as sawtooth crashes. The camera has a wide angle (28°) tangential view of the plasma.
