Abstract

The angular distribution of positrons emitted in the decay of polarized Ne19 has been measured as a test for the second-class weak interaction. The asymmetry parameter varies linearly with the energy with slope (dAdE)exp=(-0.65±0.15)% MeV-1. This result requires a second-class form factor comparable to the weak-magnetism term.
