Abstract

An experiment system of pressurized counterfiowing flames was built up, which is capable to heat up the inlet gas to 1600 K at different pressures from 0.06 to 1.5 MPa. Experimental studies of the ignition characteristics of H 2/CO mixtures doped by NO were conducted at elevated pressures. It was found that H 2 concentration has a strong impact on ignition temperature of syngas. However, when the syngas is doped by NO, its ignition temperature decreases and turns to have a minimum value at elevated pressures.
