Experimental observations of a left-handed material that obeys Snell's law

Abstract

The two-dimensional profiles of collimated microwave beams transmitted through composite wire and split-ring resonator prisms were measured. It was shown that transmission through these materials obeys Snell's law with a negative index. Preliminary evidence of focusing behavior was also given.
