Abstract

Several LDPC-codes with rate above 0.9 are proposed, and employed in PMD-compensation by LDPC-coded turbo-equalization. The block-circulant LDPC(15328, 13893) is only 1.25dB away from the channel-capacity limit for DGD of 125ps (and NRZ transmission at 10-Gb/s).
