Experimental demonstration of a high quality factor photonic crystal microcavity

Abstract

The experimental demonstration of high quality factor photonic crystal microcavity was presented. The devices were found to be fabricated in an InAsP/InGaAsP multi-quantum-well membrane and were optically pumped at 830 nm. The analysis showed that external peak pump power laser thresholds as low as 100 μW were also observed.
