Abstract
The objectives of this investigation are two fold. First, we determine the S//L degree of methane/air and propane/air mixtures at elevated pressures. The second objective is to compare our experimental data with those determined from an accurate numerical flame code incorporating a most recent kinetic scheme. It is shown that close agreement exists, thereby providing mutual support for their separate validity.
