Excited state potential energy surfaces from the inversion of absorption spectra: Removal of a global singularity

Abstract

Inversion algorithms were developed to extract an excited electronic state potential energy surface (PES) using absorption spectral technique. The means to remove or circumvent the global singularity problem were discussed. The proposed inversion algorithms were simulated in one-dimensional model system.
