Abstract

Resonant inelastic light scattering experiments access low-lying excitations of electron liquids in the full range of filling factors between states of the main sequence of the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE). It was found that near 2/5 and 1/3 evidence of lowest spin-split CF Landau levels of charged fermions with spin 1/2 that were similar to those of electrons. Spin-reversal energies determined from the spectral revealed sizable composite fermion interactions.
