Abstract

In the original article,1 the code used in the generation of Fig. 1 included a typographical error. The quantity plotted should be proportional to (Equation Presented), but as plotted is proportional (Equation Presented). The figure is therefore incorrect. The error was (Figure Presented) discovered by Dr. Ryan S. Marshall and Dr. Hannes K. Leinweber, both of TAE Technologies. Figure 1 plots several example curves of the bremsstrahlung response to monoenergetic electron beams, Eq. (12). The correct example curves are depicted in Fig. 1. It appears that the error was due to a typo in the code that was introduced in July 2017 and persisted until October 2017. This typo does not affect the data presented in the original paper. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Marshall and Dr. Leinweber for bringing this error to our attention. In the original article, we also note that Eq. (12) as written included small error. There was a factor of aj in the numerator of MBrem,i,j, as though the right-hand side had already been multiplied by a.
