Abstract
Bis(imino)pyridine complexes of manganese, iron and cobalt provide a rich platform for understanding the role of electronic structure and redox-active ligands with reduced first row metal complexes. This chapter highlights the combination of synthetic and spectroscopic studies aimed at elucidating the flow of electrons associated with redox events in these compounds.
