Abstract
The cathodic dissolution of a Ga2 Te3 electrode in an ethane-1,2-diamine solution of tetraphenylphosphonium bromide yields the novel gallium telluride [(C6H5)4P]GaTe 2(en)2 1 which consists of one-dimensional GaTe 2(en)2- chains held together by NH ⋯ Te hydrogen bonds.
