Efficient relativistic high-order harmonic generation with waveform-engineered driving pulses

Abstract

Multi-color synthesized waveforms generate relativistic high-order harmonics with far higher efficiencies than single-color driving pulses. Particle-in-cell simulations suggest an optimal waveform, providing an efficiency limit on the process.
