Abstract
The effects of dust charging were analyzed to investigate the shielding of dust particles by each other in a dusty plasma. Dust grains were found to screen each other by charge reduction in the close-packing limit. The development of a large negative potential by dust cloud in the limit ad≤λD was also discussed.
