Abstract

Absolutely: Redox potentials for three redox couples in AaeAPO-catalyzed reactions have been measured, thus placing these heme-thiolate reactive intermediates on an absolute energy scale for the first time. The importance of the axial thiolate ligand and the basic nature of compoundII ferryl oxygen atom are discussed in terms of these redox potentials.
