Abstract

Using secondary ion mass spectrometry and nuclear reaction analysis, we have measured deuterium trapped in carbon samples exposed to deuterium discharges in PLT. From these data we infer that the fluxes range from 2 × 1015 to 3 × 1017 cm−2 s−1, and the energies range from 60 to 225 eV. Studies have been made on the effect of gas puffing and plasma position
