Abstract

In this work, the absolute molecular weight of the polymer which elutes from the HDC column was measured using a low angle laser light scattering (LALLS) detector and a variable wavelength UV detector. The specific refractive index increments of the polymers investigated was determined using a Chromatix KMX-16 laser refractometer. The instrument operation, as well as data collection and processing was accomplished using the combination of a Nelson Analytical Model 761 A/D converter and an HP-85 computer.
