Abstract

The parameters describing the excitation spectrum of Bethe-ansatz-soluble models of 1-D quantum fluids are shown to satisfy a relation ν_S = (ν_Nν_J)^{1 2} characteristic of "Luttinger liquids"; this identification permits exact calculation of a renormalised coupling determining correlation-function exponents.
