Abstract
The parameters describing the excitation spectrum of Bethe-ansatz-soluble models of 1-D quantum fluids are shown to satisfy a relation νS = (νNνJ) 1 2 characteristic of "Luttinger liquids"; this identification permits exact calculation of a renormalised coupling determining correlation-function exponents.
