Abstract
The crossover between fractional quantum Hall (FQH) sequences with a boundary at ν=1÷3 was discussed. Starting from the filling factors slightly below 1÷3, the emergence of low-lying excitations that reveal an interaction energy scale significantly below that of the liquid was analyzed. To account for mode softening from the finite well width, a 1÷5 dispersion for spin-conserving was computed. The abrupt appearance of the low-energy modes that indicated a significant change in the quantum ground state properties was also analyzed.
