Abstract

The issue of criticality in the restricted primitive model (RPM) concerning the effect of the lattice discretization parameter, ζ, on the critical parameters was addressed via calculations. Large system sizes, up to reduced lengths of L*=22 and fine lattices of ζ=14 were included in the analysis and extrapolation to the thermodynamic limit in the continuum, L→∞ and ζ→∞ was facilitated. The calculations were compared to previous estimates of the critical parameters of the model.
